Tamera is the award-winning author of stories and poetry for young readers including Gone Fishing, Gone Camping, This Old Band, and There Was an Old Lady Who Gobbled a Skink.
Tamera encourages young people to read, write, tell stories, and focus on their important work of learning. Her writing interests include contemporary/realistic, family/relationships, humor/word play, sports, fantasy, folk and tall tales, heartland. She also enjoys the study of rhyme, rhythm, techniques, biography, health and wellness, history, how-to, nature, world culture, and story and poetry forms.
Tamera holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University.
